Review: KitKat Chunky Double Caramel

I love chocolate,  I love caramel, so when I heard KitKat had a new KitKat Chunky with Double (!) Caramel I just had to try it. No way this KitKat was going to escape me! It did take me quite a while to find it though, because my locale stores were a bit slowly in adding them to their products. But then, all of a sudden, they had arrived! I got a four-pack (four times yummyness) and took it home with me.

If I wouldn’t have been in such a hurry to try one, I probably would have inspected the package more carefull. If I had done that, I wouldn’t have been surprised at the first bite, because I thought there would be gooey caramel and there wasn’t.
This KitKat is divided in two parts, one part with tiny bits of hard caramel in and the other with the gooey caramel I was expecting. But fortunately it was in the second part! I liked both parts, but the tiny bits of hard caramel are not very noticable. If you don’t know they’re there, you could miss them. It did taste good and I would have been satisfied if the entire Kitkat was like this. But the part with the soft caramel was sooo nice! You taste the caramel more than in the other part, like you would want from a caramel bar. I do like that the caramel is not too sweet, so you still taste the amazing KitKat as well.

I must say that together with the peanutbutter KitKat, this is my favorite variant I have tried so far. So I’d say: go get some while you can!
